How it Started

I began keeping our favorite recipes in a 3-ring binder to avoid hunting every time I wanted to cook that item.  Over the years, that family recipe book has grown and grown and expanded way beyond the binder capacity.  There are many books and loose papers around, so searching has become a challenge again.  Then, my children had the audacity to grown up and start leaving our house!  They each thought a copy of the family cookbook would be a good idea, but organizing and condensing and printing just seemed like too much trouble....................so voila!!  A much better idea with no paper involved (once I've entered them all here).  This recipe book can travel the world with ease, doesn't get lost and fits into whatever space might be available.  At meal time, there will be no more shuffling of pages as I search and menu planning will be simplified when all that comes to mind are spaghetti, tacos and chicken soup.

I will very openly admit that most of these recipes are not my original creations.  I will give credit when I can remember where the recipe came from, but after 25+ years of collecting, I guarantee I have forgotten some.

For my children, may the memories of time around the table never be forgotten.
